The Japan-U.S. Friendship Commission congratulates the FY15 recipients of its funding. The Commission is proud to support a wide array of programs focusing on the cultural arts, education, public affairs and people-to-people exchange. The FY15 grantees will continue the research, language training, workshops, travel and production of works supportive of our mission to strengthen the U.S.-Japan relationship through education, cultural, and intellectual interchange. These projects all work towards our larger goal of advancing common interests between Japan and the United States through the support of innovation and the promotion of partnerships and collaboration. Recent projects such as those commemorating the end of World War II match our efforts to demonstrate the longevity and importance of the U.S.-Japan relationship, and engage the next generation through creative and practical initiatives.
