Mr. Sneider currently is a partner in the Corporate Department at the law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. He is head of the Tokyo office, and a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee
Mr. Sneider advises both Japanese and multinational clients in cross-border transactions involving Japan, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions. Before joining the Tokyo office he was an associate in the firm’s Corporate Department in New York, New York.
His previous experience includes:
Salomon Brothers Inc. 1987 – 1991, Director and Counsel, Legal Department, Tokyo, Japan and New York, New York
Counsel to Salomon Brothers based in Tokyo and responsible for the Asian region. Primary activities included liaison with the Japanese Ministry of Finance with respect to Salomon Brothers’ operations in Japan.

Mr. Sneider has also served as the Burgess Professor of Political Science, Department of Political Science; Director, Toyota Research Program, Weatherhead East Asian Institute; and Senior Research Fellow at the Tokyo Foundation.
