Application Procedures for all Programs

Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to consult with the Commission staff by phone or email at its Washington, DC office about their project before submitting an application. Telephone: (202) 653-9800; email: grants@jusfc.gov.

Applicants submit their proposals in hard copy directly to the Commission’s Washington office. Please use the Commission’s application form, which is available from the Commission office or on this website. Inquiries should be addressed to the Commission at 1201 15th Street, NW, Suite 330, Washington, DC 20005. Proposals sent directly to the Commission in hard copy should be:

Grants normally will be awarded at the Commission meetings held in September.  The deadline for receipt of hard copies of proposals at the Commission’s Washington office is 5 PM August 1.  If  August 1 falls on a weekend, the deadline for receipt of hard copy will be the following Monday.  Proposals received after this date will be retained in the Commission office for review in the next cycle.
