46th session of the U.S.-Japan-South Korea Legislative Exchange Program

Three members of Congress participate in the 46th session of the U.S.-Japan-South Korea Legislative Exchange Program (LEP/TLEP) January 11-13. Congressman Jim McDermott (D-WA); Congressman F. James Sensenbrenner (R-WI); and Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo (D-Guam) discussed leadership change in North Korea, Japan’s recovery efforts after the events of March 11, trade and other timely topics with their counterparts from Japan’s National Diet and South Korea’s National Assembly during the two-day meeting organized by the George Washington University public affairs program of the Sigur Center for Asian Studies. The Commission has been supporting this important program of legislative exchange since 1987.
